An irate Italian woman attacked another passenger & lashed out at the cabin crew after she was asked to put her face mask on.
The woman was caught in the act of attacking another female passenger during a heated argument about face masks on a Ryanair flight from Ibiza to Milan.
In a recorded video uploaded on YouTube, the woman lashed out at the flight crew while she was being dragged off the plane.
Since the pandemic began last year, all airline companies are mandated to require all passengers to wear face masks within the duration of the flight in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The video of the incident emerged online last week, but it is not clear when exactly it took place.
According to local media outlets, the Italian woman had been asked by other passengers of the Ryanair flight to wear her mask.
However, she reacted violently by verbally insulting them.
As the conflict escalated, the Italian woman began to spit on the passengers and physically attacked them.
Flight crew members intercepted to escort the woman from the plane, which is yet to take off, and she can be seen in the video footage lashing out at the cabin crews as she is removed from the flight.
The confrontation was caught on camera and rapidly circulated on social media.
“Just wear the [redacted] mask on like the rest of us for god sake, people acting like babies because a bit it material is covering their mouth,” one person commented. “That’s a sign to shut it.”
“She should be banned from flying Ryanair for life,” another one has said. “Wait! No! Someone needs to come up with an actual punishment for her.”
At the time of this writing, it is unclear if the Italian woman will face or faced any further disciplinary action.
Ryanair requires all passengers to wear masks during flights, covering the mouth and the nose. The face-covering can only be removed to drink or eat.
