What would you do if you spotted a giant sex toy behind a presenter and that too, during a live interview?
Well, viewers couldn’t hold their laughter to themselves when a serious news talk show turned into the joke of the year recently. And it’s all thanks to the world of Zoom and live interviews from home.
According to media reports, a British presenter went viral when viewers spotted something bizarre, sitting on her shelves. While there were plenty of books in the vicinity, there was also a giant sex object too. And that’s how she gained fame in no time.
Be it Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or Reddit- you name it and she was there. From hilarious jokes and shares to memes good enough to light up your smile, it was definitely worth a watch.
Now, some people are even going as far as terming the whole incident as a joke of some sort or maybe a staged ordeal. Well, that’s for you to decide.
Here are the latest updates of the baffling sex toy case that might leave you in chuckles.
The sex toy takes the spotlight
A sex toy or any other kinky object of that sort doesn’t belong on television. And that’s especially true when there’s a serious talk show going on, with live broadcasting.
Recently, a woman suffered sheer embarrassment when she came live on a Welsh news tv program. Moreover, it wouldn’t be wrong to term it as the ultimate Zoom background blunder too.
Think along the lines of drop-dead hilarious for viewers and super awkward for the news channel itself. Here, the woman attempts to answer the host’s questions in poise and dignified manner. But little did she know that the world paid witness to her giant sex toy on display.
A downright embarrassing ordeal
As she spoke on the subject of the COVID-19 pandemic and how many people were simply being looked over when it came to their jobs, many people simply couldn’t focus. And we can’t blame them. After all, there are other things worth notice like a huge dildo, situated innocently amongst a rack of books.
Identified as Yvette Amos, the guest was a guest on BBC Wales but he doesn’t think they’ll plan on taking her on live, anytime soon. And it’s all thanks to her weird fascinations on display.
Discussing her experiences on how employment affected her life and so many others, the Zoom camera didn’t obscure her background. As she spoke away unknowingly, viewers on the other end of the live screen couldn’t handle their chuckles.
Eagle-eyed viewers to the rescue
Thanks to the massive size of the sex toy, you couldn’t miss the object, even if you wanted to. Soon, the screenshot of the screen was all over social media, with Yvette turning into an embarrassing yet viral sensation. The first person to share the news was actually another journalist by the name of Grant Tucker. He Tweeted, “Perhaps this is the greatest guest background on the BBC Wales news tonight.
He even requested future guests and presenters to please check their backgrounds and make sure the coast is clear, before coming live.
And just like that, the comments kept coming in. Some questioned which category or genre of books does the object fall under. Another mentioned how Yvette was actually her friend and he didn’t mind her clip going viral. In the same way, some questioned whether or not the subject was actually explicit or perhaps a sculpture.
“You have to feel sorry for her,” added other Twitter users who couldn’t stand seeing the embarrassment. But that’s when another theory arose on how the whole thing was actually staged. They also questioned why her whole room was visible for a talk show interview.
Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure. It spread tons of smiles all around.
