A woman recorded herself licking a shopping cart and a fridge at a supermarket before making bizarre claims about her immune system.
Jodie Meschuk is a social media influencer who presumably lives in Colorado and has over 17,000 followers on her platforms.
While she considers herself as a person who practices a holistic lifestyle, Jodie is also the author of Autism Reimagined, a book in which she claimed that the disease can be cured.
Recently, however, Meschuk sparked controversy after filming herself licking various objects and produce at a supermarket before making a bold claim saying that such acts help her boost her immune system.
“Germs fortify your immune system. Exposure to germs builds defenses against asthma and allergies. Microbes help digestion,” the woman wrote in the caption of her video.
In the bizarre clip, which has since been removed from her Instagram page, Meschuk went on to lick produce bags and her shopping cart. Advising her fans to “be free,” she also licked the handle of a fridge door and potentially exposed other shoppers to her germs in the process.
As weird as this may sound, Meschuk isn’t the first person to commit such acts since the pandemic has started.
Back in 2020, a woman from California went viral after getting arrested for licking $1,800 worth of groceries at a supermarket.
Another woman from South Carolina faced backlash after licking her hands before touching groceries at local stores.
Meanwhile, a Pennsylvania supermarket had to dispose of food worth $35,000 after a shopper coughed on the food on purpose.
