Becca Butcher works as a receptionist at a real estate company today but she reveals her growing pains of being born with only one breast. The young woman explained how doctors explained to her that her chest would eventually even out and grow like other young women. However, that was far from the truth. Moreover, she feels misled and explained how she had to do her own research to diagnose her condition.

Becca says that she waited for years for her chest to even out, as promised by doctors who claim that such conditions were similar to women having different menstrual cycle timings. They explained that some would get them late while others earlier and hence told her to wait.

This includes going to major extremes like using ill-fitting bras just so she could find a way to even out her breast tissue. Unfortunately, nothing worked and she soon had to accept the harsh reality of her one breast condition.

Poland Syndrome is a medical condition where patients are born with underdeveloped or missing muscles around one region of their body. Moreover, it can also affect the hands, chest, shoulder, and arms too.

Ever since her diagnosis, Becca has worked really hard to raise awareness about the condition and help others suffering from the same.

After being diagnosed with Poland Syndrome, Becca says her doctors offered her to undergo a free-of-cost boob job that would be covered by the NHS. While most girls would happily jump on that bandwagon, Becca did not.

She feels that she doesn’t need to change herself as she has come to terms with her condition. “I understand why I am the way I am and I’m quite happy,” she added.
