Fredrick Joseph was walking in a Brooklyn park with his pup and when a white woman allegedly told them to “stay in your hood” and threatened to call the cops.

The final part of the incident and assault was caught on video by Frederick, who posted it on Twitter claiming that the attack started when the woman confused his dog with another dog who was barking loudly.

“At the dog park in Brooklyn with my fiancé and this white woman was threatening to call the police and told us to stay in our hood because she had our dog confused with another dog who had been barking loudly,” Joseph captioned the video. “So, I started recording and she tried to slap the phone out of my hand.”

The woman flipped Frederick off before trying to smack his camera out of his hand and then give him the finger. She then seemingly accused Joseph of doing something to her, but that part of the video is not clearly audible.

“You just left the dog park to tell us to stay in our hood?” Joseph can be heard saying in the video.

The woman replied while clutching her hand to her chest: “Oh my God, did you just say that to me?”

Joseph then proceeded to turn to another man who apparently witnessed the incident and asked: “I’m sorry you were right here and watched this whole thing. Did she not just stand here and tell us to stay in our hood?”

“She did,” the man replied.

The woman then apparently became “surprised” that the passerby backed them up and took off.

Joseph said that he and his fiancé were just walking their dog in the park when the woman started screaming “river, come on” towards their dog.

“And for those asking, this was in Williamsburg and she was screaming “River, come on” so guessing her dog’s name is River,” Joseph posted on a follow-up tweet.

“She’s like, you’re not from around here, go back to your hood,” Joseph told CBS2. “Stay in your hood. Stay in your hood.”

“So I’m like, stay in my hood?” he said. “Right, like? you’re being racist right now, and she’s like, I’m not being racist.”

Joseph is an author and has written a book titled “The Black Friend: On Being a Better White Person”.

Since posting the clip on social media, Joseph picked support from others who quickly worked to track down the woman they labeled as a “Karen.”

The woman has reportedly lost her job over the incident.

When asked for her response to the dog park incident, she told CBS2: “No thank you. No comment.”

Derek Anderson, the CEO of Bevy, believed to be her employer, was swift to take action and offered an apology to Joseph and his partner.

“Yesterday an employee engaged in behavior contrary to our values and has been terminated,” Anderson tweeted.

It’s unclear what exactly occurred before the video was recorded.

At the time of this writing, the footage has received more than 100,000 views and drew outrage from others on social media who slammed the woman for acting like the “victim.”
