In the UK, a woman has been accused of raping a 12-year-old boy on several occasions and then allegedly bragged about it.
Morgan Roberts, 18, from Bromley, has been arrested on charges of sodomy, rape, and sexual abuse after allegedly raping a 12-year-old boy multiple times.
According to Kenton County jail records, she has been charged with second-degree rape, second-degree sexual assault, and second-degree sodomy.
Court records reveal that the victim’s mother reported the crime to the police after discovering a text message on her son’s phone.
“I took your V card and you liked it,” the text from Morgan allegedly read.
Rob Sanders, Kenton County prosecutor said that the 12-year-old’s mother found out about the abuse.
“His mother found a text message on her young son’s phone indicating that someone had taken his virginity,” Sanders said. “The mother was obviously concerned.”
The police then interviewed the victim and he confirmed the sexual assaults, one of which was in the victim’s home, according to court documents.
The first encounter happened at the boy’s home in Ludlow, Kentucky, where he states that Morgan “touched his p**** with her hands, performed oral s** on him, and had intercourse with him”.
The second takes place at the 18-year-old’s residence in Bromley. The third apparently happened at the house of one of the victim’s friends.
In the criminal complaint, the second and third alleged sexual encounters between the defendant and her alleged victim are described in substantially similar terms to the first alleged encounter.
“We take s** crimes very seriously, especially those against children,” Sanders said. “The fact that this defendant is female makes the case somewhat unusual, but no less serious.”
Sanders says Morgan met the boy through his group of friends, all of whom are close to the boy’s age. Authorities aren’t sure how she met them originally.
Two other minors who allegedly knows about the situation were interviewed by police. Police claim those other two children said that Morgan “admitted to having intercourse” with the boy
“It was somewhat common knowledge of what was going on, at least amongst the kids,” the prosecutor said.
Each of the three minors interviewed by Ludlow allegedly said that “Roberts makes them call her mom” according to the affidavit.
“It’s a little bizarre,” Sanders explained. “An 18-year-old is hanging out with 10, 11, 12-year-olds. But that seemed to be the case here, where he met her through other children.”
Police additionally claim the boy who was allegedly raped by Morgan “was able to describe physical features of her which would not be readily visible unless he had seen her without clothes.”
“She was associating with, befriending children that were significantly younger than she is, that were far below the age of consent in Kentucky, and that’s how we believe she came into contact with the victim in this case,” Attorney Rob Sanders told WCPO.
Sanders says right now there is no evidence she has more victims, but authorities are looking into it. He says parents should talk to their children and possibly contact the police if they know she has been around their children.
“It’s just as illegal for a female to be doing this with a 12-year-old male as it would be with a 12-year-old female or, for that matter, an 18-year-old male,” the prosecutor said. ” Everyone is held to the same standards under the law.”
According to Ludlow, attempts to locate Morgan at her residence in Bromley proved unsuccessful. The detective also said he tried on “multiple occasions” to set up an interview at the local police station.
Morgan was booked into jail last week, approximately five months after the last sexual assault according to jail and court records. She was assessed a $10,000 bond in late September by a Kenton County Court judge. She is currently out on bail.
