White pigeons are beautiful creatures by all means but there’s very little that people know about them.
Recently, a story about these stunning creatures hit the internet and it went viral in no time. The tale revolved around how the creature became stranded and needed all the help that it could get for an escape. But did it arrive home safely or not, that’s a question that many people wonder.
Thankfully, little Lucky Lue, the name that many recognize, kept flying in the air. Situated near a park close to Ann Arbor in Michigan, one could clearly spot how there were several things wrong. And it’s an emotional tale that will change your perspective.
Little Lucky Lue- what really went wrong
According to sources, the little fellow from the white pigeon species appears to be a release survivor. And for those who aren’t aware, it’s a trending topic worth exploring. For this reason, we’ve garnered a series of facts that are guaranteed to be worth your while.
Pigeon or dove release services exist around the globe. The main purpose of these services is to bring about a harmonious collection of birds to events like weddings or memorials. Once they’re released, it is considered to be a wonderful symbol of peace as well as unity.
Therefore, it’s the pictures that are worth the real money here. And we simply couldn’t see it any other way. The craze and fascinations of getting the ultimate click of white serenity is truly a trend that citizens can’t get enough of.
Things don’t always go as planned
On most occasions, things go according to plan.point 190 | The species arrive at their fixed spot.point 223 |
However, on other days, they don’t.point 36 | Usually, the US approves homing pigeons, instead of real doves for such activities.point 107 | But wait, let’s get our facts straight.point 146 | These white doves and white pigeons are two very special and distinct species.point 212 | 1
Therefore, the reason why authorities put so much emphasis on differentiating the two is pretty simple. See, doves don’t have any homing instincts. So they’re going to get lost easier when released. White pigeons, on the other hand, have the homing instinct. They can fly for miles and always return to their special spot.
Doves fall as easy prey targets for countless other animals. They simply can’t fly far. But what happened to little Lucky Lue. If he was a pigeon, how did he get lost in the first place?
Mistakes happen and it’s okay- white pigeons
Lucky Lue’s incident isn’t the first of its kind. It’s okay to see lost or disoriented ‘doves’ or white pigeons. Be it a religious celebration or a memorial, weddings, and funerals too- the list is long and endless. Again, not everyone is as Lucky Lue.
See, the pure white hue has something to do with it. Birds like these serve as easy targets for predators. Similarly, some land up at shelters, where they stay for months. However, in some cases, they even perish, as soon as they’re free. As you can tell, the circumstances vary greatly.
However, in this little fellow’s case, VIP protocol wouldn’t be a misnomer nor an exaggeration.
Luck by chance- rare findings
Thankfully, a very kind lady, who happens to be a part of the Parrot Sanctuary, explains how she spotted Lucky Lue. Alert and worried as ever, she decided to escort him to safety, in her airplane! No, we’re not joking on this one. It was a form of VIP protocol that rarely see in today’s time.
She announced to news sources how Lucky Lue was flying with all privileges, like in first class. Moreover, after a checkup at the vet, after a flight, and then a hotel stays too, he finally arrived home. Today, he’s another ‘house’ pigeon, adored and loved by a kindhearted owner, explained the woman.
So as you can see, the reality of white pigeons is quite different from the dreamy aspirations that people put forward. And we love how touching and strikingly different it is from everything else.
