The distraught and grieving family of famed Ukrainian cinematographer shot dead by actor Alec Baldwin are demanding answers as they fight their way into the US.
42-year-old Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot and killed by Alec Baldwin on Thursday, while on the sets of the upcoming movie titled ‘Rust’. The news sent shockwaves around the globe, with many horrified after the renowned actor mistakenly fired a prop gun that was loaded with live rounds.
Now, Halyna’s grieving parents are fighting the red tape travel ban and trying to make their way to the US, while demanding a thorough investigation and explanation of the incident.
“We are pushing for answers over this massive tragedy. We are broken. Someone will have to pay for this,” a statement was released by the parents.
Meanwhile, local media outlets have gone on to confirm how Alec Baldwin has been in contact with Halyna’s husband, who termed the actor very supportive during this distressful time.
Halyna leaves behind her husband Matthew who is a lawyer and a young son, who are both in a state of absolute shock and disbelief over the tragic ordeal. Speaking to DailyMail.com recently, Matthew praised the actor for his courage in coming forward and being supportive during this time.
“I have spoken with Alec Baldwin, he is being very supportive,” he mentioned.
In addition, Matthew stated how his intent was to gather into words all the things that mattered the most to his beloved wife, including her achievements and the current situation that has left the world shattered.“I plan to post everything on my Twitter account real soon, whenever I get the time to do that,” he added.
As the investigation into the chillingly tragic continue, cops are yet to reveal any details other than how a ‘prop gun’ was used in the incident and how it was loaded with rounds that were fired in a projectile manner.
