Ohio’s Sheriff is not happy with the recent name change of the Cleveland Indians and he’s making sure the world hears what he has to say on the controversial matter.

The news comes as the famous Cleveland Indians’ team opted to go by a new name which will take into effect from the 2022 season onwards. And this name will be Cleveland Guardians as confirmed by local media outlets.

Some people did cheer and applaud the decision for the name change on the baseball grounds, but it’s quite apparent that some people such as Ohio’s sheriff are not too happy. Moreover, they believe that a name change is similar to erasing the country’s history and it’s not cool.

While the sheriff admitted to not watching sports for more than 3 years, he felt the need to make a statement regarding the sudden name change which he found was absolutely unnecessary.

“Since the past few days, this sudden release has been really weighing heavy on my mind and it’s a disappointment as well as a sense of hopelessness,” he added. “It’s like altering years and years of family traditions revolving around watching baseball,” he emotionally commented.
