Former US President Donald Trump is expressing his great fury and dismay over Facebook’s Oversight Board’s decision to uphold his ban for 6 more months.
The board recently mentioned how the final decision on whether or not the former leader would be allowed back on the platform would depend on the decision taken after that period. Therefore, Donald Trump and the Republican party didn’t take the news too well.
Trump was quick to express his anger, slamming the decision by a board that he referred to as ‘radical left lunatics’. In addition, the former US president slammed them for upholding the ban that was originally put forward by Mark Zuckerberg, earlier this year.
“It’s an absolute disgrace as well as a breach of my free speech,” Trump boldly added.
The social media giants have gone ahead and blamed Donald Trump for inciting the violent Capitol riots that took place on January 6th. Despite months of waiting, this was certainly not the news that Trump or his party members hoped for.
Therefore, the recent decision to uphold Trump’s accounts means that it’s again in the hands of Facebook to make a final verdict after a 6 month period.
The decision was taken on Wednesday with many Republicans calling for Facebook to split up as they felt their calls were unjustified.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump also issued a warning to the social media giant for barring him from his freedom of speech. Therefore, he called them, stating how they would soon be paying a heavy political price for their behavior.
After the decision was announced, Trump was observed fuming as he generated an email to all of his supporters which mentioned, “What Facebook, Twitter, and Google are doing and have done is absolutely disgraceful, and a true embarrassment to our nation.”
