A robber from Thailand fell asleep while robbing a home recently, which was actually owned by a police officer.
Robbers may not admit it but burglaries aren’t a piece of cake. They require careful inspection and a lot of attention to detail, with the fear of being caught too. Therefore, this robber from Thailand is the prime example of what happens when the act of crime takes a toll-like no other.
Local media reports spoke about how the burglar fell asleep while carrying out his crime. Moreover, the entire scene proved to be just too much for him and therefore he opted to take a little nap while undergoing his mission. Meanwhile, little did he know that the house he is robbing and sleeping in actually belonged to a police officer.
The Thaiger reported how the 22-year-old was soon detained by the homeowner himself, who found him busy snoring in his residence. He caught him red-handed, tucked away in his daughter’s bed.
Reports explained how the burglar had broken into the home at about 2 am in the night. This was the time during which the police officer was fast asleep in his own room. But when he awoke in the middle of the night, he simply couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The air conditioning was on in his young daughter’s living room and that immediately raised a red flag. This is because his daughter wasn’t at the home.
For this reason, the officer slowly tip-toed into his daughter’s bedroom to find the burglar fast asleep in the bed. At first glance, he peeked through the window to see what the matter was really about. And that’s when he spotted the burglar, wrapped in the blanket.
The officer yelled in fury, “Burglar,” to which the man got up, confused and very drowsy. Now, he faced trespassing charges as well as burglary charges too. He clearly won’t be getting enough sleep in jail, that’s for sure.
