US congresswoman Ilhan Omar recently retweeted a clip from a segment of the NBC late-night talk show featuring host Amber Ruffin criticizing Kyle Rittenhouse’s verdict.
In that clip, the host can be heard speaking about how so many white people have been getting away with the crime of murder for years.
Therefore, the US Democratic representative shared the same segment with a caption that stated, ‘in case you needed a reminder,’ clearly showing how she felt about the entire trial’s verdict that was released on Friday.
Ruffin went about tearing apart the country’s judicial system where she slammed it for being ‘blatantly as well as obviously stacked against all people of color.’
Previously, Ilhan Omar made heads turn when she referred to Kyle Rittenhouse as a white supremacist who was also a domestic terrorist for executing two people.
The 18-year-old gunman from Kenosha who killed two people while wounding a third was acquitted for all his charges as the jury declared him not guilty on Friday.
In the video retweeted, the NBC host Ruffin begins on an emotional note by stating how it’s just not alright for any man to grab a rifle, travel miles across state lines, and then go on shooting three individuals. In addition to that, she stated how shocked she was to figure out that he’s now set free.
“It’s not okay for there to be an entirely different set of rules for White people,” she went on to declare. “I do not care about Kyle Rittenhouse, I don’t care about that racist judge. And I don’t care about how f*****d up the jury for this trial must be,” she boldly proclaimed.
“White people cannot get away with murder forever,” these were her last statements that have been going viral on social media, resulting in a major debate.
