President Joe Biden had another gaffe in front of the public recently after he forgot another fellow Democrat’s name, calling Michigan’s Whitmer ‘Jennifer’.
While the press agrees that this certainly is not the first time that she’s been called by another name, the fact that Biden made another gaffe at the White House is concerning plenty of people.
In the year 2020, Joe Biden had Governor Gretchen Whitmer as a close competition in terms of his running mate for the presidency. But despite the close association between the two, the President not only forgot her name, but he also called her Jennifer.
The incident took place on Wednesday at the White House where he called out Whitmer as Jennifer and even thanked her alone the way.
While it was an online meeting, keeping in mind the pandemic, critics were quick to note the President’s mistake, yet again.
The meeting was related to the Democrat’s mega $1 trillion infrastructure bill project. Moreover, Biden was trying his level best to return a compliment that he had received but it certainly went downhill from there.
Whitmer had reportedly thanked the President for taking a leading stand and getting the bill passed, as stated by the report from the Detroit Free Press.
Just this past month, the President pretended like he forgot the name of Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis. And that’s when he questioned a reporter, “Governor Who?” This was moments after DeSantis went about criticizing Biden over his possible mandates relating to the coronavirus pandemic.
Surprisingly, in the year 2018, Whitmer got really upset when her opponent from the Republican side had forgotten her name and called her something else during the debate. The report clearly spoke about how Whitmer did not like it one bit. “Leave my name,” she angrily commanded her opponent.
Thankfully, there was no such incident that took place here but we hope the President can put an end to his gaffes once and for all because the memes and trolling are just beginning.
