A couple from Texas has been arrested as well as charged for actively participating in the US Capitol riots that rocked the nation.
Local media outlets confirmed how the FBI got a hold of the couple after they shared a series of boastful videos online, boldly mentioning how they had actively participated in pushing down barriers.
Both Mark Middleton and his wife, Jalise Middleton were arrested by authorities on Wednesday, right outside of Dallas. The FBI went on to add how the couple first posted their stories on Facebook and then went about deleting their videos that were centered around the Capitol riots.
The couple was also caught on police bodycam footage, pushing as well as striking down Capitol cops. Mark even went as far as mentioning how he assisted in putting down the barriers that paved way for easy access into the building.
However, later, Mark Middleton can be heard commenting, ‘Don’t believe everything you see on the media, we are not rioters nor are we mobs.” The complete 360-degree turn was unbelievable, confirmed reports.
Clearly, the couple tried to quickly delete their attempt so as to cover up their tracks. But it was just too late as the FBI was already busy tracing their whereabouts, finally reaching their doorstep for an arrest.
51-year-old Mark works as a salesperson for internet services providing company called Nortex Communications. His wife on the other hand works as an accounts executive for the Angels Care Home Health, as mentioned in their LinkedIn profiles.
The duo abruptly joined a massive crowd comprising of Donald Trump loyalists with police bodycam footage revealing their leading role in pushing, striking, as well as grabbing the police officers so as to push down a barrier, located outside the US capitol building.
With great attempts of the couple trying to defend themselves and accusing the news media of portraying a wrong image, the couple was arrested and charged for their active role in the riots that took place on January 6th.
