A 25-year-old substitute teacher from Kentucky was slapped with rape charges after engaging in a sexual affair with a minor.
What comes to your mind when you hear the terms substitute teacher? Well, to most people, it’s related to a mentor that’s supposed to fill in on days when the original teacher might not be available. Therefore, as you can probably tell, it’s a very professional business.
Unfortunately, some people might be giving the profession a bad name. And if you haven’t guessed it by now, this case serves as the ultimate example. When citizens of Kentucky heard the news regarding a student-teacher affair, they just couldn’t believe it. But what really surprised them is how one teacher found it ok to have sex with a minor, on multiple occasions, at multiple locations. How’s that for shocking?

Substitute teacher receives charges for rape
Cops from a Georgetown police station arrested Alexandria Allen, charging her with 3 counts of third-degree-rape. According to media sources, the victim was a student in 8th grade. And he went to the same school where the teacher formerly worked- Spring Middle School.
The student and mentor developed a sense of closeness when she began delivering private lessons. This whole time, the student’s mum thought her young son worked hard to improve his grades. Unfortunately, that wasn’t what he was really into.
Arrest reports reveal shocking findings
Meanwhile, the arrest report also suggested how the teacher used to mentor the student privately too.
In the same way, news agencies confirmed how the boy’s mum went to the police to complain. Upon her assistance, they issued an arrest warrant. The incident took place after the mum reported her to the cops. Moreover, she showed them proof in the form of nude pictures as well as videos.
Here, the educator accompanies her son on his cellphone. Other reports mentioned how Allen was in fact the boy’s tutor, during the time of their sexual encounters. The young student admitted to police during a forensic interview how he had sex with Allen.
On the other hand, the mother was reportedly caught saying how disgusted she felt upon finding out the shocking news. However, Allen wasn’t helping at all.
More than one sexual encounter
The alleged sexual encounters took place between March and October. It’s interesting to note how each of them occurred at three separate locations, as mentioned in the arrest warrant. One of the locations was the grand Hilton Inn, situated in the area of Georgetown.
Earlier, the substitute teacher pleaded not guilty to the charges, as explained by her lawyer. The jury set a bond of $2500 against her name. In addition, she couldn’t make contact with her victim. However, the teacher will face another court appearance in the form of a preliminary hearing. This will take place on February 2nd.
Media reports also mentioned how additional charges couldn’t be filed in the case. Therefore, Kentucky citizens have their eyes glued upon the next hearing. And until then, the 8th grader’s mum and other parents from the same school wait patiently.
