A 17-year-old girl was left fighting for her life in the sea. Paige Winter helplessly struggled to swim ashore when a shark ripped off her leg and fingers, in an attempt to kill her. However, she luckily survived by the skin of her teeth. And it’s all thanks to her father’s heroic and timely response.
According to sources, the brave father repeatedly punched the stern and strong animal in the face. And while her daughter lives with parts of her hand and legs missing, she’s grateful as ever.

The teenager who faced one of the most savagely themed shark attacks, on a North Carolina beach is speaking out on her horrifying ordeal.
The young girl who lost part of her left leg as well as two fingers, says ‘sharks are still good.’ Moreover, the 17-year-old is still recovering from the terrifying North Carolina shark attack, at Vindant Medical Center in Greenville.
According to sources, the girl claims that her brave father carried her away and out of the ocean waters. And that means freedom from the deadly grips of a shark that almost enveloped her.
But how exactly did the father free his daughter?

As we all know, sharks have an awfully stern and tight grip. And with jaws like that, there’s truly no messing around. So how exactly was the father able to free his struggling daughter?
Mr. Winter, Paige’s father, explained how he had to literally punch the animal, several times in the face. Moreover, he described how he had no other option and quick reflexes led him into the decision of doing so. The actions led to the effective loosening of the shark’s grasp.

You’d probably expect anyone to be shaken from such a traumatic episode. But the 17-year-old is doing well and telling the world about her dad’s incredibly brave battle.
Currently, Paige is recovering from a recent amputation procedure that was carried out on her left leg. This was followed by reconstruction and amputation of the two fingers on her left hand. Despite suffering so much, she’s ready and excited to go back home next week.
But just before making an exit, both father and daughter conducted a press conference relating to their nightmare experience.
During the press conference, the heroic dad explained the decisive measures he took to save his daughter from what is considered to be a bull shark. The details of the shark’s identity were based upon the giant tooth markings, seen on Paige’s bones.

The father described how the incident took place around midday timings on June 2nd, while he was relaxing on the beach with Paige and other family members.
He says:
‘I head Charlie and then I turned around and I heard Shark. Paige. Get her.’
And that’s when he realized something was majorly wrong as he couldn’t find Paige.
‘Paige was underwater and there was pink on the water. I saw pink and it was moving,’ he said.
Moreover, the brave father explained how the giant shark carried her around, five feet below the water. And that’s just when he was able to reach in the nick of time.
The emotional dad explains harrowing scenes after rescuing daughter out of the sea
The emotional dad said:
‘I grabbed her with my left arm and pulled her up over the water and when I pulled her up a shark came up with her and it was a big shark.’
‘I immediately started to hit it. I’ve read five times, but it could have been ten or three, I don’t know. I wasn’t keeping count but I know I was hitting it and I hit it with everything I could and it let go.’
‘When I was running towards the shore, I could see the damage, and I knew it was bad. I listened to every word she said, every movement of her lips, every way the wind blew her hair, I just took it all in.’
Today, Paige is doing well with her amputations. She knows life will never be the same again but she is staying positive, despite the traumatic circumstances. But her shark attack North Carolina story continues to inspire millions around the world.
