Sources have revealed that Prince William was about to get another name as Prices Charles, father of the baby, had another name in his mind, Arthur.
But Princess Diana wanted to name her firstborn, who will be the king in the future, ‘William’ as she was so impressed by ‘William the Conqueror.’ She and her husband made many decisions to settle on a name for the baby and later decided to call him William.
Although the name suggested by Prince Charles, ‘Arthur’ was not wholly dismissed and is one of the middle names of Prince William.
