Prince Harry is likely to be banned from the royal family’s private funeral gather amidst covid-19 restrictions as he will be in quarantine.
According to sources, he can break the quarantine rule to attend the funeral but this will not include the family’s closed gathering where only a handful of people are allowed to join.
Although there has not been any statement about the issue so far by the royal palace but according to experts, Prince Harry could be forced to stay outside of the family’s exclusive gathering and he is likely to be pushed to self-isolate himself.point 485 |

Prince Harry, who is also a Duke of Sussex, has already reached the country on 11th April on Sunday to attend Prince Philip’s funeral. This is the first time he is visiting his home after both he and Meghan Markle withdrew from the senior members of the royal family.
According to a spokesperson for the Duke, currently, he is staying at his former residence, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, to closely monitor and abide by the virus rules. As per the rules, he is supposed to self-quarantine for at least 10-days and run two covid tests to affirm his negativity.
In proportion to the latest regulations, one is not allowed to socialize during these 10-days of quarantine but Harry is given leniency based on compassion grounds to attend the funeral which is holding tomorrow on 17th April.
According to Victoria Murphy, the royal biographer, the latest rule of socializing is that you can’t have more than 30 people in a private gathering and this funeral should be no exception.point 171 | She says that there are different speculations about a private gathering of the royal family before or after the funeral where people, unknown number, will get together to remember Prince Philip.point 336 | 1
However, Murphy strongly believes that such a gathering should not take place in the context of the covid circumstances of the country.
