With the world going through a lot of emotional trauma and all the negative effects of the great pandemic, mankind is in search of small adorable moments of happiness.
These moments can overfill their hearts with joy and give them a few moments of relief. Thankfully, we have the most adorable duo from the world of fiction right now, Pixie and Brutus, to give us some much-needed relief from our stress.
Created by the revered comic animator, Ben Hed, Pixie and Brutus introduce us to the most unusual friendship duo from the animal world. Pixie is a fragile, little kitten who does not let anything take her innocence and energy away. She is not aware of the harmful stuff around her and therefore she has Brutus to take care of her.
While Brutus is an ex-military German shepherd dog with a scar on his face. This scar makes him look even more serious and intimidating than he actually is. Having some sense of kindness and affection for Pixie, Brutus does everything he can to protect her heart. He also keeps her safe from the harsh world around.
Here are the 4 latest Pixie and Brutus comics that will instantly make your day!
Brutus; the best mentor of Pixie
This comic is cute proof of the soft corner that Brutus has in his heart for his little friend. Pixie performs some of her very simple stunts in front of Brutus. He, instead of telling her what actually a stunt is, appreciates and tells her that her stunts are the coolest thing he has ever seen. Such an act of Brutus is trivial and meant to conceal his true reaction. Such actions are enough to make Pixie’s day and are what makes us crave a friend like Brutus too.
Who needs a trainer when you have Brutus
Another cute Pixie and Brutus comic show Pixie trying to climb a tree. This little kitten is obviously scared and has a sense of fear on her face. However, she thinks that she has climbed up too much.
Hed’s professionalism and his attention to detail are way too obvious in this comic. Every expression in this comic can reveal a lot of meaning to the audience.
It is only as the comic progresses that we get to know that pixie was no more than Brutus’s actual height.
Even then, Brutus’s kindness is infectious as he did not tell Pixie about her not reaching as high as she was thinking.
Tough from the outside but kind from the inside
This comic shows a big dog named Hugo greeting Pixie when, all of a sudden, Brutus comes up. He asks Pixie about who the new dog was. Hugo runs away thinking of Brutus as a scary dog. He leaves us all awestruck on how a friend could be this protective.
Don’t let anyone bully you; the social lesson Brutus teaches us all
In this latest and rather a long comic, Hugo is shown being bullied for his chubbiness by a raccoon named Randal. Randal takes away Hugo’s bone and tells him that it is a favor to such a fat dog who would then not have anything to munch on. Brutus observes Hugo and asks the confused Pixie if Hugo is bullied.
After trying to explain what Hugo feels to Pixie, Brutus devises a plan. He later leads Hugo to fight for himself and stand up against the bully raccoon. Luckily, Brutus is smart enough to make things right. So the comic ends with Hugo fighting the bad boy Randal.
Even when the creator of these comics has himself not said anything about who the main character is. It is very easy to understand Brutus as the hero because he is just everything a protagonist is.
