The background and face of a 14-year-old schoolboy who killed his 12-year-old friend have been revealed.
Marcel Grzeszcz was only 14 when he reportedly stabbed Roberts Buncis, 12, more than 70 times in a ‘brutal and prolonged’ attack on December 12, 2020.
The teen has been pictured and named for the first time after he was sentenced for the murder.
Lincoln Crown Court heard how Grzeszcz stabbed the victim in the chest, neck, and abdomen in woodlands in the Fishtoft area in Lincolnshire.
Grzeszcz, who was expelled from school when he was 10 years old for threatening a fellow student with a knife, was sentenced to a minimum term of 17 years in custody.
According to reports, the teen had brought a blade with him to class and threatened his schoolmate at St. Nicholas Primary School in Boston, Lincolnshire.
He was then transferred to Haven High Academy but was booted out for selling illegal substances.
Speaking to The Sun, a mother who used to take Buncis to primary school with her kids said: “It’s not his first incident with a knife.
“When he was at primary school he took one into class to threaten other kids.
“He threatened a girl with it and was excluded.”
Buncis, a student at Haven High Academy, was only two days away from his 13th birthday when he was killed by Grzeszczs.
The 14-year-old refused to talk about the situations of the murder but the court heard that it was a ‘planned and premeditated killing.’
Grzeszcz could not be named until Mr. Justice Baker lifted the anonymity order at his sentencing.
He was given a sentence of detention and must serve a minimum term of 17 years before he is eligible for release.
