The panicked 911 calls from yesterday’s heartbreakingly tragic shooting incident by Alec Baldwin on the sets of his upcoming film ‘Rust’ have now been released.
The movie’s script supervisor Mamie Mitchell was the first person to call Santa Fe 911 in an absolute state of panic. According to recent reports, the call was made minutes after the incident on Thursday in New Mexico, when two people were accidentally shot on the film’s set.
A very panicked and anxious Mitchell can be heard urging the operator from 911 to quickly send in ambulances towards the Bonanza Creek ranch.
While being asked about the victim’s condition, the script supervisor appears to remain silent, stating how she was unable to say. At the same time, Mitchell yells out to another member on the set to quickly clear the roads for the ambulance, adding to another individual how it was the assistant director’s fault.
“He is responsible for this.point 151 | He was supposed to check the guns,” she can be heard yelling.point 207 |
“It’s the f******* fault of the assistant director.point 56 | He yelled at me during lunch but this is all his fault.point 100 | He was the one responsible for checking the guns, and now this incident has taken place because of him,” she again begins to scream.point 215 | 1
Soon, the script supervisor hands the phone to a man who tells the 911 operator that both the victims are alert. “We have one of them on the ground,” the man states, adding how there is a medic on the scene.
In a short span of time, another call is made to 911 to request for a second ambulance to be sent in immediately.
A detective closely following the case confirmed how the revolver used as a ‘prop gun’ contained live rounds which neither the assistant director nor Alec Baldwin was aware of.point 360 |
While it is still unclear why the gun was loaded, it is confirmed that assistant director Dave Halls was the one who grabbed a hold of the gun from the cart and handed it over to Alec Baldwin.point 155 | 1
At the moment, no charges have been filed against Baldwin by the police and he is still permitted to travel, as confirmed by reports.
