Angel Lynn fell from a van that was traveling 60mph when her then-boyfriend Chay Bowskill abducted her from the street in Leicestershire, UK, in September 2020.

Three years after the incident, her mother Nikki Lynn has announced that her daughter has finally said her first word.

According to the mother, Angel has said ‘mum’ when she went to see her in the hospital.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Nikki said: “She said it the first time and I just couldn’t believe it. I thought I’ve got to get it on camera, because sometimes she doesn’t always do things a second time.

“I asked her to do it again and she did it straight away.”

The mother continued: “I just walked in and she was groaning, so I said to her: ‘Angel, you know if you’re making those sort of noises you must be able to say something.’

“And that’s when I just started making noises myself and she just came out with it.

“I had no warning or anything that she was going to speak. I never thought she would speak again.”

Before Angel said her first word, she had been communicating via improvised sign language.

This came after she finally stood for the first time in May three years after the abduction.

“Angel always wanted to be a forensic scientist and work for the police, she was very ambitious. But when she met Chay all ambitions went down the drain,” her father, Patrick Lynn, said.
