A 24-year-old woman who was lured on a Tinder date was chopped into 14 pieces by her killers.
Sydney from Lincoln, Nebraska, was smiling for the camera and looked very excited when she shared a photo on Snapchat, writing: “Ready for my date.”
She told her friends that she had named a woman named Audrey on the dating app and had been on one date with her.
But after her second date with Audrey, Sydney did not show up for work. She was not replying to her parents’ messages so they have decided to drive for three hours to see their daughter in her apartment.
When they found the 24-year-old’s cat Mimzy starving, they knew something wasn’t right.
They immediately filed a missing person’s report with the police.
Investigators focused on the missing woman’s date, Audrey, and managed to track her phone down. She admitted going on a date with Sydney but explained that she had left her at a friend’s house but could not remember where it was.
Officers later discovered that Audrey’s real name was Bailey Boswell and she lived with her 51-year-old boyfriend Aubrey Trail. Both of them were named as persons of interest.
Sydney’s dismembered remains were found stuffed in rubbish bags in a field near Omaha. Some of her body parts and organs were never found.
Investigators were certain that Trail and Boswell were involved in Sydney’s tragic death and they turned out to be a very disturbing pair.
It was then determined that Boswell had lured Sydney into a trap and she had been killed.
The couple were arrested in June 2018 and charged with murder.
According to prosecutors, the couple had already made plans to kill someone before they found Sydney on Tinder.
