Taylor White revealed that after her ex-boyfriend and his friends took her to a local bar, she woke up the next day in a hotel room and discovered that ‘really horrible things’ were etched onto her face.

When she went to the tattoo shop where she worked, her boss was so shocked that she was offered to ‘black it out.’

But White, who has bipolar 2 disorder, continued to experience job rejections because of her appearance.

“I’ve tried applying for jobs in the mental health care field just as an advocate,” she told the Post. “I understand that my appearance is quite different, and could maybe jar someone that has their own condition.”

She then shared her story on TikTok where she gained more than 22,000 followers.

“I wish when I was younger, someone had told me it’s OK to not be OK, and if you need help, ask for it,” she expressed.

Fortunately, Karridy Askenasy stumbled upon White’s videos and was moved by her story. He then determinedly looked for a clinic that was willing to remove White’s face tattoos even though he wasn’t sure if he could afford it.

Finally, Askenasy found Removery, a laser tattoo-removal company that agreed to do the task without any payment.

Carmen Vander Heiden Brodie, the vice president of Removery, said that it could take up to two years for White’s tattoo to completely disappear.

“It’s a gradual process, but one that yields permanent, life-changing results,” she told The Post.

After her first tattoo removal session, White was delighted despite the discomfort of the laser.

She said: “I’m not having it removed purely for cosmetic reasons. This is really removing a part of me that I no longer represent or live in.”
