A woman has been slammed and called “inappropriate” after revealing her “perfect” outfit to wear to a funeral.
Causing an uproar on social media, an affordable British brand known as EdgyLittlePieces shared a clip in which a woman was seen promoting one of their dresses saying it was the perfect attire to wear to funerals.
The skimpy, tight black dress features an open mid-section that reveals the wearer’s cleavage and leaves the middle of the chest totally bare.
In the short clip, the woman told potential buyers to look no further for funeral dresses because the piece in question is a “perfect” fit.
“So many people have been asking me for funeral fits. Look no further, we think [the dress] is actually perfect,” the lady said.
Soon enough, however, the video went viral with hundreds of viewers blasting the brand and the “inappropriate” piece they’ve been advertising for use in funerals.
“Are you mad? As a funeral service operator you would be judged. How dare you go dressed up like some street walker to a funeral,” one person said.
“Are you joking?” another baffled user wrote.
A third suggested: “Looks like something you would wear to a nightclub rather than a funeral. The dress isn’t bad but it’s definitely not something a normal person would wear while supposedly mourning.”
The backlash, however, didn’t stop the brand from issuing a second clip in which the same woman demonstrated how the very revealing dress can be tightened by pulling two laces to make it more modest.
“You can tighten it up to make it super modest for the funeral, then loosen it back down for the after party,” the lady in the clip added.
