The transgender inmate who got two fellow prisoners pregnant at a women’s prison has revealed how she tried to remove her test*cles using a razor as she wanted to ‘stop the pain’ after being misgendered at a new facility.
27-year-old Demi Minor, who is serving a 30-year sentence for killing her former foster father, was transferred from Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women to the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility with male prisoners after two fellow inmates got pregnant.
Minor has since complained that she has been abused and mistreated at the new facility.
In a post on her blog Justice 4 Demi, she said that she was taken to an emergency room after she tried to cut one of her test*cles with a razor.
“When I began to bleed, I did not even think about dying. I just thought about finally having relief from the pain that I felt,” she revealed.
“Being here in a male prison, amplifies the harm that I once felt… I hate it all,” she continued.
It was in 2020 when Minor began her transition into a woman and was then moved from a male prison system to Mahan facility, which started housing transgender women last year.
On July 28, Mino said that she started feeling ‘ignored’ and ‘hopeless’ at GSYCF after she was asked to prove that she was transgender.
She also claims that the committee chair told her that there were some things “we can biologically not change,” suggesting that “regardless of my transition without surgery I am a man.”
Minor said that she tried to ignore the remarks “but the truth is everything she said hurt.”
“I started cutting again, and with a razor I begin (sic) making a incision to remove my testicle. In my head, I just wanted the pain to stop. I just wanted out of this. They don’t know what the hell that I am going through,” she added.
“Instead, if you have a pen*s, you deserve to be in a male prison. That is all central offices cares about,” she added.
Minor also said that she has been diagnosed with gender dysphoria, which means she is “five times more likely” to die by suicide.
