TV personality Robert Irwin has been slammed online after fans thought he dressed up as the notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween.
The 18-year-old took to TikTok and Instagram and shared photos of him dressed up as Dwight Schrute, a character from The Office.
Chandler, 25, and Bindi, 24, went as Pam and Jim from one of the sitcom’s episodes.
But fans questioned if the wildlife warrior dressed as Jeffrey Dahmer.
Irwin captioned his photo: “Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. #HappyHalloween from Dunder Difflin’s Australia Zoo Branch!”
One fan commented: “Jesus dude I got Dahmer vibes at first.”
Another wrote: “Tell me he’s not dressed as Jeffrey Dahmer on Halloween. Cause if he is then byeeee.”
A third asked: “Jeffrey Dahmer?”
Other fans were quick to defend the TV personality, with one explaining: “Guys he’s clearly dressed as Dwight from the office and not Dahmer, have you guys not heard these lines before?”
Another said: “How could ANYONE think that this sweet baby angel of a human being could ever dress up as Dahmer?! Good god.”
A third added: “There’s no way y’all see a blonde guy with glasses and immediately think of Dahmer.”
It was in 1992 when Dahmer was convicted of 16 murders and was sentenced to 16 life sentences in prison.
Only two years later, he was killed by another prisoner at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, by bludgeoning him to death with a metal bar.
His story has emerged again due to Netflix’s true crime series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
