The cause of death for the Hollywood star Raquel Welch has finally been revealed after she died on February 15 aged 82.
Best known for her roles in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years BC, the Hollywood legend reportedly died after suffering a cardiac arrest.
She had also been battling Alzheimer’s disease, with the death certificate stating one of the underlying causes of her death.
According to the document the actress died in the early hours of the morning and has been cremated.
Her death certificate said she had suffered heart failure while at her southern California home.
She is survived by her two children – daughter Tahnee Welch and son Damon Welch.
Steve Sauer, Raquel’s long-term business manager, confirmed the heartbreaking news of her death at that time.
Celebrities from all over the world paid tribute to the legendary actress.
Reese Witherspoon took to Twitter and wrote: “So sad to hear about Raquel Welch’s passing. I loved working with her on Legally Blonde. She was elegant , professional and glamorous beyond belief. Simply stunning. May all her angels carry her home.”
Viola Davis also posted on Instagram: “It was a pleasure to meet you! You were ageless to me….iconic…Rest well Raquel Welch!!”
Eugenio Derbez, who starred with the actress in her 2017 movie How To Be A Latin Lover, hailed Raquel for ‘being so warm and so funny.’
Raquel had celebrated her lengthy career which spanned more than 50 years on both the big screen and the small screen. She won numerous top awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in The Three Musketeers (1974).
She also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996.
