The Duke of Sussex has recorded a Christmas video message for grieving children of parents who were killed while serving in the British Armed Forces.
Wearing a full Spider-Man suit, Prince Harry appeared in a heartwarming video and wished the charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers a happy Christmas.
“Hey, Scotty’s Little Soldiers. Welcome to the Christmas Party,” the father of two said.
He also gave the children some tasks to save Christmas by defeating villains who had stolen the presents from Father Christmas.
“I hope you guys got some rest before tonight’s excitement. I hear from Sharky and George that there are five villains that you guys need to stop from ruining Christmas,” Harry said.
“So, use your teamwork, your brains and your brawn to make sure that you do exactly that. Find them and don’t let them ruin Christmas, okay.”
The children completed the challenges during the party.
In a heartwarming message to more than 100 children, the Duke said: “At the same time, Christmas is a time we will miss our loved ones really, really badly. And that’s okay.
“But at the same time, it can be possible to feel guilty for having fun without our parents. But I am here to assure you that our parents always want us to have fun, okay.
“So don’t feel guilty – you’re allowed to have the best time ever, especially with this Scotty’s Little Soldiers community.”
He also encouraged the children to have a great time before lifting his mask to reveal his identity.
“Merry Christmas,” he added.
In November, Harry partnered wit the charity and wrote to the children for Remembrance Day.
In his letter, he said that she shares a bond with them having lost a parent.
Scotty’s Little Soldiers have a long-standing relationship with the Duke and said they are grateful for his “continued support.”
