A beloved Netflix star has passed away at the age of 26.
Jung Chae-Yul, best known for her roles in ‘I Have Not Done My Best’ and ‘Zombie Detective,’ was found lifeless in her home on April 11.
Her agency Management S said in a statement: “We have to deliver very heartbreaking and unfortunate news.”
I continued: “Actress Chae-Yul left us on April 11th. According to the wishes of the bereaved family, who are in greater sorrow than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly and privately.”
The agency also asked people to stop ‘spreading rumors and speculative reports’ about the star’s cause of death.
The CEO of the management agency also said in an interview: “Our Chae-Yul was very hardworking. She was a deep-hearted and cool friend. In my opinion, it is hard to describe in words how amazing she was as an actress.”
Tributes continue to pour in for the actress, with one fan writing: “Such a heartbreaking news, may she rest in peace.”
Another said: “Rest in peace, angel.”
A third added: “May her soul rest in peace.”
Someone else commented: “Be the best actor out there.”
Chae-Yul was known for her role as Bae Yoon-Mi on Netflix’s series Zombie Detective. She also starred in the K-drama I Have Not Done My Best and the 2018 film Deep.
She was set to appear in the TV series Wedding Impossible, which was in the middle of filming, according to the Independent. The creators reportedly paused the production following the news of her passing.
