A mother claimed to have spiked her daughter’s food with laxatives after her school bully kept on stealing her meals.
The mom in question took to Reddit to reveal that the meals she had been preparing for her daughter had been going missing for weeks. And even though she brought this issue to the attention of the girl’s teacher and principal, the school allegedly didn’t do anything to find out who the bully was.
“Both told me to tell my daughter that she should keep her lunch safer and maybe she has just been losing it,” the mother wrote as she recalled her conversation with the school.
Since the bullying didn’t end there, the mom decided to take matters into her own hands by spiking her daughter’s food with laxatives and telling her not to touch it so that the secret thief would be the only one affected.
After repeating the test for several days in a row, the same child – Alex – appeared to be making quick trips to the toilet shortly after the girl’s food went missing.
The prank, however, seemed to backfire after Alex accused the girl and her mom of deliberately poisoning him.
“Billy has told his mother that my daughter purposefully fed him food with laxatives, and now my daughter may be suspended from school,” the mother continued.
After asking people for advice, many readers found it hard to believe that the school wouldn’t do anything about the fact that Alex was the one stealing from his classmates.
“The medical stuff is none of their concern. For all they know his gut isn’t used to your food. Just tell them you didn’t give him permission to take the food – and that your daughter went hungry without it,” someone advised.
“What if there were allergens in her food – or in another kid’s food – Alex needs to keep his eyes on his own lunch box and people need to check to see why he is so hungry, is his mum doing enough?” another suggested.
Some viewers, however, slammed the mom for intentionally making her daughter’s bully sick.
“So you are publicly admitting that you intentionally poisoned a child? I’m not saying that taking your daughter’s lunch is okay, but poisoning a child is also not okay. As they teach kids, two wrongs don’t make a right. They can press charges against you,” one person wrote.
