A mother-of-two has complained about not being able to get a job because of her tattoos but she said that she won’t stop getting inked.
45-year-old Melissa Sloan has tattoos all over her body, including an England flag on her face. She gets three new inklings a week, thanks to her boyfriend who does ‘prison style’ tattoos.
However, her extreme appearance makes it difficult for the mother-of-two to land a job.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Melissa said: “I have three tattoos a week. It’s like when you have a fag or a drink, you get addicted. I can’t stop it now, it’s addictive, for me anyway. I just can’t stop it.
“I carry the [tattoo] gun around with me in the boot, I’ll get one in the car or anywhere. My boyfriend does them, he does my tattoos prison style.”
She explained that she loves her tattoos even though strangers give her funny looks.
“I can’t get a job. They won’t have me. I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they won’t have me because of my tattoos,” Melissa said of her dilemma.
The 45-year-old explained that the first job she had was cleaning toilets ‘ages ago’ and that if someone would offer her a job, she would go to work right away.
“I expected this in life, I can’t fit in with people as I like to be me and I’m always going to be myself,” she went on.
“They don’t have to listen to me. But I’m not going anywhere.”

Another wrote: “Get a job in a call center, no one sees you and most now seem to work from home. Basically, you don’t really want to work and you are making sure that no one gives you a job.”
