Meghan Markle’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr has told her to ‘show some support for your dad’ after the former actress visited Uvalde but hasn’t seen her father since he suffered from a stroke.
The Duchess of Sussex traveled to Uvalde to pay respects to the 19 children and two teachers who were killed in Texas school shooting last week.
But her half-sibling said he thought the trip was ‘the most insensitive thing I’ve seen in my life.’
Thomas Jr said Meghan’s trip was a ‘publicity stunt’ and begged for her to support her father Thomas Markle and ‘stop the vicious PR attack’.
Mr. Markle has just been released from the hospital after a stroke.
In an interview with GB News, Thomas Jr said that his father was upset as he had already been planning to go to the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.
Previous reports say that Meghan was ‘trying to heal 4-year rift’ with her estranged dad but she was concerned about having to be involved again with her half-siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr.
Thomas Jr told Dan Wootton that the Duchess had “not attempted to reach out to him or her father.”
When asked about Meghan’s unannounced visit to Uvalde, he said: “It feels like a publicity stunt. She wants people to think she’s trying to solve things.
“I don’t know what her agenda is, but it’s totally wrong. It’s the most insensitive thing I’ve seen in my life. That little walk she did, like she was on a stage? She’s just trying to make herself look better.”
Thomas Jr also had a message for Meghan: “Stop the vicious PR attack. If you want to sow some love and support for my Dad, step in and definitely give some support.”
