‘I Was Trapped In A Man’s Body For 69 Years Before I Was Finally Brave Enough To Transition’

A woman who lived as a man for nearly seven decades has opened up about her joy after transitioning into a woman.

69-year-old Phillis Rolli, formerly known as Phillip, was contemplating taking her own life for decades after being trapped in a male body and feeling forced to suppress her emotions and live in agony “every single day.”

As the lady from Seattle explained, she would dress in girls’ clothes as a young boy despite her father getting “very physical” with her and telling her it was a “bad thing” to tell anyone about her feelings on the matter.

Raised in a strict household, Phillip learned to “push down” his emotions while going on living hoping that the feeling would eventually “go away.” Determined to do what he was told was the right thing, he also got married and welcomed two children into his family.

Decades later, however, Phillip finally dared to come out of his shell and successfully transition to become a female who’s not looking back any longer.

“I never wore female attire or any make-up whatsoever until November 28 when I put on female clothing and I went to Sephora and got my make-up done,” Phillis explained.

“I’ve never not been presenting as female since, and I knew that day – when I looked in the mirror and saw Phillis – that she was out and there was no putting her back. So that’s the day Phillip died and went away forever.”

Phillis went on to reveal that she “lived in darkness for over sixty years and that being trapped in a man’s body made her feel “hollow” on the inside.

“Many decisions throughout my life were made based on the reflection of how people would perceive me,” she added.

“Every piece of furniture I bought, everything I bought, I would make sure it had no feminine edge to it whatsoever because if there was a little bit, [I thought] it would become obvious to everyone.”

Phillis went on to explain that the transition followed after the death of her parents because she was worried she would hurt them if she came out any sooner.

“All of a sudden, I was sitting there, and a promise I made to myself when I was 20 came crystal clear in my head,” Phillis recalled.

“When I was 20, I promised myself that if I could not live my life as a woman, then I would be a woman as a senior, and nobody could stop me then. So, I’ve kept that promise to myself.

“That’s the day that everything happened. I shaved my beard off, told doctors to get things started, and then January 1 2022 was the first day I took hormones. It’s been [over a year], and my body has responded dramatically to the hormones; I don’t even look like the same person any more. I used to be this skinny, shapeless man and now I’m curvy.”

Needless to say, Phillis now finally feels free and better than ever before in her life.

“I feel normal now for the first time ever,” she concluded. “There is no more despair and no more crying myself to sleep every day.”
