An angry man exploded at frustrated parents just because their baby had been crying for almost an hour during a flight.
The shocking incident occurred on board a Southwest Airlines flight to Florida and was posted on TikTok with a caption that reads: “Stuck in a holding pattern for weather and an SWA passenger loses his mind over a baby.”
The viral clip shows the man screaming at flight attendants and other passengers after listening to the baby’s cries.
“That child has been crying for 40 minutes! I had headphones on, I was sleeping,” he shouted to the flight attendants who were trying to calm him down.
When a worker said: “You’re yelling,” to the furious passenger, he angrily exclaimed: “So is the baby!”
He also screamed at the baby: “Did that mother***** pay extra to get on?”
The other passenger next to him could be seen looking embarrassed.
After watching the viral video, TikTok users were quick to slam his behavior.
One person commented: “This is so wild to me. I don’t have kids, but crying babies don’t trigger me the same way, so I can’t understand this response.”
Another wrote: “How do you think the baby’s parents feel? People need to get a grip, babies are a part of life. We were all babies once.”
A third said: “If you can’t handle the sound of a crying baby or toddler, maybe air travel or being in public isn’t for you.
“Personally, I’d be embarrassed by my inability to cope with something so basic that happens all the time. But I just believe that’s part of being a functioning adult.”
Someone else added: “And…there’s NOTHING funny about this! Disgusting!”
The crying baby (which sounds more like a toddler than a baby-baby) magically stops crying halfway through this man’s rant which leads me to believe the people they were traveling with could’ve done more to meet whatever need they were expressing.
