Many aspiring actors try to get into Hollywood by spending years in acting school and going to hundreds of auditions but one man has a unique idea.
Josh Nalley from Kentucky managed to get an acting role on CSI: Vegas after he pretended to be dead on TikTok for 321 days. The dedication right here is just impressive.
He would share daily videos of himself in many different scenarios, playing a lifeless body.
Nalley would post TikTok videos of himself dead in the woods, on a pathway, or in his home, along with the caption: “Day (#) of playing un-alive until I’m cast in another RC show or movie as an un-alive body.”
In some of his videos, he even used fake blood to ‘create a scene’ and his clips received thousands of views.
After playing dead for staggering 321 days, his bizarre strategy finally came to fruition when the producers of CSI: Vegas noticed his efforts and offered him a role as a deceased man.
One of his tricks was to make sure that there were some movement in the video while he remained still to make him look like the a lifeless body.
In an interview with Courier Journal, Nalley admitted: “I don’t like speaking on camera, but I can lie there and act like I am dead pretty easily.
“Having done more than 300 of these posts, I have progressed and gotten better. At first, you could see me breathing, or the fake blood looked really bad. I have gotten rid of using the blood and gotten better at holding my breath.”
To celebrate, Nalley posted a TikTok video thanking his fans for their support.
“Thank you everyone for following on this crazy journey!” he captioned his post.
