Lisa Marie Presley just welcomed her first grandchild before she passed away at the age of 54, her daughter has revealed.
The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley died on January 13 after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California.
She was laid to rest at Graceland in Memphis, Tennesse, where she was buried next to her father and late son Benjamin, who died in 2020.
Lisa Marie was many things to people – not only she was a beloved entertainer, a loving daughter, and a devoted mother, but she was also a grandmother.
Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, has confirmed that she just gave birth to a baby last year.
She has been married to Ben Smith-Peterson since 2015 and he delivered an emotional speech on her behalf at the memorial.
Smith-Peterson addressed everyone with a speech titled ‘A Letter to My Mama,’ written by his wife.
“Thank you for being my mother in this life. I am eternally grateful to have spent 33 years with you. I’m certain I chose the best mother for me in this world and I knew that as far back as I remember you,” he read.
“I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity.
“I’m a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart.”
Presley is survived by Keough, her granddaughter, her younger daughters Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, brother Navarone Garcia, and mother Priscilla Presley.
