The Late Late Show host James Corden has been banned by the owner of New York City’s top restaurant Balthazar.
Furious owner Keith McNally has banned the Tony award-winner and claimed he is the ‘most abusive customer ever’ because of the way he treated his staff.
The 71-year-old, who has a history of kicking celebrities out of his restaurants, took to Instagram and shared two separate examples of the host’s +’extremely nasty’ behavior.
The restaurant owner started his post by describing Corden a ‘hugely gifted comedian’ before announcing that he is banned from his exclusive premises.
He said that Corden previously found a hair in his main course then demanded free beverages for the mishap.
“After eating his main course, Corden showed the hair to Balthazar manager G. who was very apologetic.
“Corden was extremely nasty to G, and said: ‘Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way I write any nasty reviews in yelp or anything like that.”
In the second incident, the owner claims that Corden was eating with his wife for brunch. The host asked for a table outside and ordered a salad and egg yolk omelet.
But Corden sent the dish back complaining that there was ‘a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk.’
“The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad. That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelet myself!’”
McNally said that the server was very apologetic and brought the manager over to the table. Corden was then given promo Champagne glasses.
The server was left very shaken but still continued her shift.
