Hailey Bieber has finally spoken out after Selena Gomez’s viral post on social media.
The Love You Like A Love Song hitmaker revealed that the model contacted her for help after receiving death threats and negativity online.
For many weeks, fans have claimed that Selena and Hailey were attacking each other, which started when the Rhode Skin founder and friend Kylie Jenner seemed to mock Gomez over her eyebrows.
But both Jenner and Bieber said that their posts had nothing to do with the singer.
Gomez was then forced to write o Twitter: “Please be kind and consider other people’s mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”
But Bieber continued receiving death threats that she ended up asking Gomez for help.
“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for,” Gomez said.
“No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
Hours after Gomez defended Bieber, the model took to Instagram story and thanked the singer for speaking out.
She wrote: “The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. While social media media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create division instead of bringing people together.”
She concluded: “I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.”
