A 25-year-old man killed his new bride only three days after they got married in a ceremony described by guests as ‘perfect’.
Timur Prokhorov, a former Russian army conscript, reportedly stabbed his 21-year-old wife, Alsu Sabashnikova, before he turned on her 18-year-old cousin, Sabrina Sabashnikova.
According to reports, police found him in a vehicle with fatal gunshot wounds and firearms after he took his own life.
The man reportedly left his Alsu one day after they tied the knot to spend some time with a masseuse, 64, just outside their village.
An argument then broke out between them when the groom “refused to pay for intimate services.”
“They had an argument after which the client r*ped the woman,” a police source said.
The man then returned home ‘drunk’ and on Sunday, his wife and her cousin were found lifeless.
Police also revealed that Alsu was stabbed with a knife and her cousin was killed with scissors.
According to reports, Prokhorov opened a safe in the house and grabbed two hunting rifles before he drove away.
His body was later discovered with gunshot wounds in a vehicle on the main road connecting oil city Ufa and Moscow.
“According to preliminary information, the suspect murdered his relatives because of personal hostility, and then, taking his father’s two hunting rifles with him, left for Yelabuga district, where he took his own life,” a statement from the Russian Investigative Committee said.
Relatives and friends were shocked and described the couple as “a calm and beautiful couple who had never had arguments in front of people.”
Locals also said that they had a ‘perfect wedding.’
Alsu was buried alongside Prokhorov in a ceremony attended by neighbors and relatives while her cousin was buried in her hometown.
