Gordon Ramsay broke down in tears as he spoke about the devastating death of his son Rocky.
It was in 2016 when the renowned chef and his wife, Tana, lost their son, Rocky, at 20 weeks of pregnancy.
In a heartbreaking post on social media, Tana said: “Born with a strong heartbeat but too little to survive.”
On Rocky’s seventh death anniversary, Tana shared a heartwarming photo taken during her pregnancy.
“Little did we know, a few days later I would be holding our little boy Rocky.”
Even though their memories remain vivid, “it still feels like yesterday. We all miss you every day. We love you Rocky, forever in our hearts. I couldn’t do this without my family, you are all everything to me,” she expressed.
Gordon has also spoken out and thanked everyone for the support that they have received.
“The support we’ve had has been unbelievable. You don’t realize until it happens to you how many people are affected. Sadly it happens every day,” he said in an interview with Daily Mail.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Ramsay said that the tragedy changed their lives but also solidified their bond.
“There’s no book that guides you through that loss, and so losing Rocky was really tough,” he expressed.
The Ramsays named their Cornwall home after Rocky. Each member of the family wears jewelry bearing his name.
“We wouldn’t have had Oscar had we not lost Rocky,” the TV personality continued. “There was no substitute — far from it — but it brought us a bond that you’d never experience in a normal situation.”
Gordon also praised his wife for her resilience.
“That’s the power of Tana,” he said. “Just watching the way that she dealt with it — and opened up with other friends and women in close proximity that could give advice — she was incredible straight after that.”
