A two-year-old girl managed to kill a snake by sinking her teeth into it after the 20-inch reptile bit her lip.
Identified only by her initials S.E., the youngster was playing in their family garden in Bingol, Turkey, when neighbors suddenly heard her screams.
They rushed outside to help the girl and were shocked to find the snake attached to her mouth.
After the snake was killed, neighbors called emergency service right away while others performed first aid kid on the child.
The two-year-old was taken to Bingol Maternity and Children’s Hospital where doctors observed her condition for a day.
According to reports, she is well and recovering.
Her father Mehmet Ercan expressed his relief as he was at work when the snake attacked his daughter.
“Allah has protected her, really,” Ercan expressed. “Our neighbors have told me that the snake was in the hand of my child, she was playing with it and then it bit her.
“Then she has bitten the snake back as a reaction.”
One person commented: “Awh, bless!! So pleased to see she survived the ordeal with a smile on her little face.”
Another wrote: “Not revenge but merely self-preservation.”
A third added: “The force is strong with this one.”
In a separate incident, an 8-year-old boy was taken to a hospital after a venomous snake’s bite caused his hand to swell five times the normal size.
Jake Closier was on a beach with his parents when he was attacked by the reptile. His mother, Sophie, initially thought that the bite was from a grass snake but immediately realized that it something was wrong when her son’s hand became ‘completely hard.’
