Beloved comedy star Jacklyn Smith, also known as Ms Jacky Oh, has passed away at the age of 32.
According to TMZ, the former Wild N’ Out star said in a now-deleted social media post that she was in Miami to have a ‘mommy makeover’ done.
A spokesperson for BET Media Group confirmed the heartbreaking news of her death in a post on Facebook.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” the spokesperson wrote.
“Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild N’ Out cast throughout five seasons.
“More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.
“The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.”
It was in 2015 when Jacky and DC Young Fly, 31, first met. They are parents to three children, daughters Nala and Nova, and son Prince.
DC Young Fly, whose real name is John Whitfield, was filming in Atlanta when he received the devastating news.
During Jacky’s career, she appeared in numerous TV shows including Shift Drinks, Marc + Jenni, and The Worst Couple.
She also appeared in a number of movies such as Switched at Love in 2019, 2022’s Scheme Queens, and 2022’s Clout.
Her final post on Instagram was a photo of her children sleeping.
She captioned her post: “When u get all ur kids to sleep at once … that right there boiiii … Tag a Mom #happiness #peace lol.”
