Brooke Shields has opened up about the moment she lost her virg*nity to Superman Star Dean Cain and how she felt ‘regret’ about it.
The 57-year-old actress said she ‘immediately ran out of the room’ as she felt ‘regret’ when she first did it with Dean.
Brooke and Dean started dating when they were students at Princeton University, with the Pretty Baby star saying she was more interested in the ‘love and commitment’ side of their relationship.
“When we finally had s*x, I immediately ran out of the room, ran down the hall butt naked, just running. I didn’t know where I was going,” Brooke said in her new Hulu documentary.
“He ran after me with the duvet and grabbed a hold of me and said, ‘Where are you going?’
“He said, ‘I’m not going anywhere, I’m not leaving you, you’re the same person.’
“He got it immediately and I just cried. I wanted to jump into the personal relationship and the love and the commitment. We had to teach each other about each other.”
Brooke said she had been baffled by her reaction to the intimate interaction at that time. “I feel bad for that girl. She was old enough to own her own body for real. And just I couldn’t get there at that moment.”
The actress previously suggested her reaction to losing her virg*nity was spurred on by the possessiveness of her mother.
In her 2015 memoir There Was a Little Girl, The Real Story of My Mother and Me, Brooke wrote: “I believe she wanted me to stay hers alone. She believed in an absolute hold she had on me and growing up, and having s*x, would mean that I was leaving her.
“It should have been what I had wished for myself, but in an instant, guilt slapped me in the face.”
She added: “Instead of giving in to what was a loving, and emotionally safe, relationship, and escaping into the most intimate and deserved moment, I began to cry deeply and silently and I got so overwhelmed.”
