“I Love Representing The US”- Olympian Wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock Wins Gold


Olympic gold medalist wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock says she’s proud to represent the USA after scoring big in the final event at this year’s Tokyo Games.

The wrestler who first began her career in the sport when she was just in 10th grade says there’s no bigger and better honor than winning and representing your country and that’s the USA.

The famous female athlete was recently questioned by a reporter regarding how she really felt to be a global ambassador in the world of sports by representing her nation during a press conference at the Olympics. Her answer was bold, to the point, and very emotional as it was asked right after she won her gold medal.

And that’s when the female wrestling sensation didn’t hesitate to show her level of dedication and patriotism for team USA.point 226 |

At the same time, she held the US flag close by her side, pulling it closer and tighter near her body.

The star explained how she never had any role models when she was growing up and hence only entered into the field of wrestling after persuasion from her sister. “I may not have had any role models to learn from but I always knew that I could lean on my sister,” explained the young talent who hails from the state of Texas.

“When I initially began my career in the world of wrestling, I wished to be an emblem as well as a beacon of light for young women because I wished to show them that you can still be silly and have so much fun, but also so strong at the same time,” Tamyra added.
