The whole world has heard the story of Breonna Taylor and an outrage appeared worldwide.
We know the woman was peacefully sleeping in her home after a long day of work at the hospital where she was shot fatally at the spot. What we don’t know is that this tragic incident that took place in Louisville, Kentucky was supposed to arrest someone else.
An officer who was wounded during this fatal shooting basically sent an email to more than 1000 of his colleagues. What was in that email, you’ll read all about it below.
Email Sent By The Wounded Officer Involved In Fatal Shooting Of Breonna
The wounded officer who was involved in the shooting of Breonna sent an email to his thousand colleagues criticizing Mayor Greg Fischer. The officer Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly willingly apologized to his friends and colleagues as well as their families.
He further said that Mayor Fischer, former Louisville Metro Police Chief Steve Conrad as well as Public Safety Chief Amy Hess failed all the police officers to cover themselves. In his exact wording of the email comprising 6 paragraphs, Sgt. Mattingly says: “These three people have failed us all in an epic deal for their own gain and benefit, saving their ass.”
The Agreement Lawsuit By Taylor’s Mother
The fatally shot dead innocent Breonna Taylor’s mother filed a lawsuit against the police for wrongful death. Mayor Greg Fischer announced publicly that they made a $12 million settlement with the Taylor family.
This also includes reforms for police, knowledge, and their classes to teach them not to use weapons so abruptly like they do which causes innocent civilians’ death. However, this settlement does not include the city to realize the wrongful death of Breonna.

“Sgt. Mattingly sent an email to fellow officers last evening. He expressed his support for them and admired their work in such difficult times.” Kent Wicker says ” Sgt. Mattingly was got shots and injuries while serving this warrant.
Mattingly is hopeful for the process to go smooth and quick so everyone including the fellow officers and people of Louisville can remain safe, as well as our entire community.”

The Police Department of Louisville, Kentucky in a news release said that there are now barricades around and in Jefferson Square Park.point 117 | They are afraid of the protests over Taylor’s death that are around the perimeter of the downtown area.point 209 |

Fischer the Mayor has announced a state of emergency because of the civil unrest as everyone awaited for the grand jury who will charge officers in the shooting. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced later that the court charged one officer. It is with endangerment for the bullets in apartments. However, the court has not directly charge any officer for Taylor’s death.
Considering the outrage of this announcement and since no one has been directly charged for the murder of Breonna, there is now an emergency in the downtown area of Louisville.

Mattingly who’s 47 years old now and is a proud cop as the police department employee for over 20 years now. He told his colleagues: “This is one of the greatest jobs in the world. With that being said, the coming days are going to be tough, long, and frustrating. This is going to put a huge amount of stress on your families. Remember not to let your ego get you in a trick bag.”
