Abuse of no kind is being tolerated on airlines and that’s why one plane was forced to divert to another destination after a passenger was seen slapping a steward.
According to local media outlets, an elderly female passenger was seen being dragged off the airline amount a loud cheer from passengers.
Many were ecstatic to see her get kicked off the flight for her violent actions while others chanted slogans against her too. This flight was diverted to Germany from Rhodes, sources explained.
In the video that’s now going viral, the woman can be seen getting dragged away by airport officials after she refused to get up from her seat. The officials politely asked her to get up and when she didn’t they had no choice but to drag her away.
The German police claim the incident took place on a Jet2 aircraft where violence was reported against a crew member by a female passenger.
The woman had ordered the steward to serve her free of cost champagne and when he refused, she violently slapped him on the face.
Witnesses seated nearby say the woman wanted free drinks and when he refused, she couldn’t handle it. She grabbed the bottle of gin and tonic too and when he politely took that away, she gave him a mighty slap and began abusing him as well.
Bemused passengers clapped, cheered, and some even breathed a sigh of relief when she was escorted off the flight. While the pensioner was not named, she definitely seemed to be a force to reckon with as she even sat on the floor and refused to get off, promoting an officer to add a little push to get her moving again.
