A woman has reportedly been charged with the attempted murder of her two young boys in Friskney recently.
According to reports from local media outlets, the woman tried to stab the kids using a knife during an eight-hour-long siege. Both boys were found covered in horrifying and tragic stab wounds.
The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Ann Marie McEvoy who will appear in front of the Lincoln Magistrates’ Court tomorrow as confirmed by local sources.
Moreover, other reports confirmed how the suspect is also going to be facing charges linked to attempted GBH on an emergency worker as she threatened another individual using her sharp weapon, which in this case was a knife.
The cops reportedly arrived at Fold Hill after striking reports arose that spoke about a genuine concern for safety. This was at about 1:50 pm in the afternoon. On that note, officers were seen negotiating with the female located inside and that reportedly went on for a few hours. This was right until a forced entry arose at about 1 am yesterday.
Both male victims were found by the cops and they were injured. Therefore, they were sent away with the paramedics to have their stabbing wounds treated at a nearby local hospital.
For now, the suspect is remanded in police custody after being charged and will now appear in Lincoln Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Both boys were described to be 10 years old and the police did confirm that they did not suffer from any life-threatening injuries. But thankfully, the case is being looked at right now by the cops and more details are being gathered to determine why the suspect chose to behave in this manner in the first place.
