According to reports, Anndel Taylor was driving home from work on December 23 when she got stuck due to the blizzard.

Her grieving mother, Wanda Browne Steele, previously told WSOC that her daughter had called 911 but when help couldn’t get to her, she decided to sleep in her vehicle.

She kept her family updated about the extreme weather conditions but they became gravely concerned when they suddenly stopped receiving messages from her.

Browne Steele believes her daughter died from carbon monoxide poisoning because her engine was left on to heat the vehicle but the snow covered up the exhaust.

The heartbroken mother also told the New York Post that her daughter stopped responding to messages or answering calls but her phone could still be tracked to the same spot.

When a friend of the family went out, they smashed the car window and found Taylor’s lifeless body inside.

According to CNN, Taylor was driving from the senior citizen center where she was working and got stranded only six minutes away from her home.

Her final text message was a photo of the snow and she explained that it was up to her stomach line.
