A 22-year-old woman who froze to death in her car sent her family a final video before she died.
It was on December 23 when Anndel Taylor from New York became stranded while driving home from work.
But the US northeast has been struck by a heavy winter storm that caused multiple deaths, WSOC reported.
Taylor sent her family a 16-second video after becoming stranded. It shows her vehicle stuck in several feet of snow and another stranded car can also be seen.
Her mother, Wanda Brown Steele, told WSOC that her daughter called 911 for help but decided to sleep out the winter storm inside her vehicle.
After watching the video, her concerned family begged those in the area to help find and rescue the 22-year-old.
“My sister got stuck in the snow yesterday at 2pm. Last I heard from her was 12am last night. She was still in the same spot stuck,” Tommie Brown wrote.
“Now she’s not answering her phone and we cannot find her. We found her car and tracked her phone.. but no her ! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you see her or know anything. Let me know ! PLEASE I’m located in Charlotte NC. If I can search for her I would !!!
“Anndel Taylor is her name !”
Shawnequa Brown, Taylor’s sister, told the news outlet: “I don’t know if any of us really knew how serious (the storm) was, we didn’t see the news, we didn’t really know what was going on in Buffalo.
“She was telling my sister that she was scared.”
The grieving family believes Taylor was stuck in the vehicle for 18 hours.
“I feel like everybody that tried to get to her got stuck. Fire department, police, everybody got stuck,” Tommie told WSOC. “Why didn’t they have chains on their tires? This is a state that is known for snow.”
